Hello, I'm Paxton Reed.

I believe beauty is rarely loud.

It lives in the first light stretching across the marsh, the rhythm of an incoming tide, a weathered oyster shell, or an afternoon spent gathering flowers. Inspired by the landscapes of South Carolina's Lowcountry and the slower pace of life we live here, I create oil and watercolor paintings that celebrate these quiet moments and invite others to slow down long enough to notice them. When you get in the habit, you’ll find these glimmers all around you.

My hope is that each painting preserves more than a place; it preserves a feeling. A sense of peace. Wonder. Home. A reminder that some of life's most meaningful moments are also its most ordinary.
